Dani Knight (she/they) is a Chicago-based visual artist with over a decade of experience, including several years of in-house illustration work. Dani draws creative inspiration from variety of sources such as vintage children’s books, history, speculative fiction, pop culture of the 90s and early 00s, and the natural world. Their illustration practice incorporates endearing character design, expressive color palettes, and versatile hand lettering.

Dani lives with her partner and their two cats. When they aren’t making art, Dani enjoys riding their bike around the city, reading, and searching for fossils along the shore of Lake Michigan.

Recent notable experience includes assisting artist Chi Nwosu on their multi-wall mural at the Garfield Park Conservatory, A Place to Grow Our Souls.
